Potential Match Funders
The Scottish Forestry Trust will generally provide up to 30% of eligible project costs. We are aware that applicants may need to seek additional funds from other sources towards their project costs. Links to other sources of research funding for applicants to investigate are provided below.
Fund4Trees provides grants of up to £10,000 towards research in arboriculture, urban forestry and green infrastructure. They have two funding rounds a year which close at the beginning of June and November each year. More information on what they fund and how to apply can be found here.
Future Woodlands Scotland runs several funding programmes to support people and projects making a lasting difference to Scotland’s landscapes and communities. Each programme has its own focus, criteria and application process. Current opportunities include grants of up to £10,000 for Research and Innovation, up to £100,000 through the Urban Forestry Programme, and tailored support through a range of Training and Skills initiatives.
