David Rook Retires as Director of the SFT

David's PresentationAfter nearly thirteen years service as Director of the Scottish Forestry Trust, Dr. David Rook retired at the Trustees meeting held on December 16th. Presenting David with a carved burr elm bowl in recognition of his service, Trust Chairman John Kissock commented that without David's hard work and dedication, the Trust would not have achieved the number of high quality projects that will help take the forestry sector forward in future years.

David plans to spend more time on the golf course and enjoying opprtunities to travel.

Scottish Forestry Trust is a registered charity (Scottish Charity No. SC008465). The Scottish Forestry Trust was established in 1983 by a gift of share capital, and our role is to provide funds by way of grants, to support research, education and training throughout the UK.  Since our establishment, we have provided nearly £2.7m to fund over 190 projects ranging from supporting post graduate industry applied research, social and environmental forestry, policy formulation and broader public education and awareness.
