- Forest Industries Recruitment & Retention Strategy The recommendations from this study include the need for recruitment processes that engage women such as flexible working opportunities, part-time working and supporting women returning to work from maternity leave. More positive female role models within industry and more information of opportunities including training/apprenticeships would help recruitment. A final report is available from the Trust, but associated publications and fuller information may be obtained from Dr Dan Ridley-Ellis, Centre for Timber Engineering, Napier University.
